The climate in Santorini

Santorini has a temperate Mediterranean climate with cool summers and mild winters. During the summer months, the weather in Santorini is hot and dry. From January to March, the temperatures in Santorini range between 12 degrees C and 13 degrees C. In April and May, the temperature rises and reaches 17 degrees C and 19 degrees C, respectively. From June through September, the weather in Santorini is very hot and the temperatures range from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius while the temperature falls after sunset.

The weather remains relatively warm during October, but the months of November and December, the temperature begins to fall and does not exceed 13-14 degrees Celsius. January and February are those months with the most rainfalls. The prevailing winds in Santorini is Siroccos in spring and Meltemi in summer, predominantly in August.
